Char Dham yatra has great importance among the religious aspects of the Hindu faith. It is widely considered that everyone should make this journey at least once during his life. It is believed that the Char Dham Yatra unlocks the doors to Moksha as this pilgrim washes away all the guilt.
The summer season, i.e., from April to June, is considered the best time to do the Char Dham yatra. These months are the best time to visit the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. However, Gangotri and Yamunotri are at higher altitudes, so summer starts later by the end of April.
