Day 1 - Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization & Local Exploration

Arrive at the “Land of High Passes” – Leh
Meet with our team at 3500 m and check into your hotel. Reserve the first day for rest and allow your body to acclimatise to the high altitude.
In the evening, go to the Shanti Stupa and explore the local market or cafes at night.

It was simply superb superb superb as a whole. There were a lot of difficulties in between but when I think about the experience, every difficulty seems to be negligible. We had to ride a lot every day but were allowed to relax at times near any stream or spend some time near the peaks. The Pangong Lake was looking so beautiful from a far distance itself.

The ride was one of the most enjoyable experiences but still provided its share of challenges. The bikes were in really good condition and well-maintained. Our guide was easygoing and flexible and was really in tune with our capability and tolerance levels. The support crew, fitted in with the rest of us while taking good care of the machinery and the luggage. Food all along the way was good, with lots of coffee breaks and photo opportunities.

Upon booking, the traveller will receive a confirmation voucher via email, within 24 hours.
In the special cases of slots not being available, feasible alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. In such cases, a new voucher would be sent via email, consisting of the new travel details.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made 25 days before the date of departure, would levy 15% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 15-25 days before the date of departure, would levy a 25% of total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 7-15 days before the date of departure, would levy 50% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Any cancellation made within 0-7 days before the date of departure, would levy 100% of the total tour cost as cancellation charges.
Due to any restrictions such as sudden government policies or regulations, health hazards, medical emergencies, or unprecedented weather conditions, activities and tours may be nonoperational and be canceled. In cases such as these, operators will attempt to cater to the traveler as an alternate, which is feasible in nature. However, any refund would not be catered.

Advisory

High Altitude & Acclimatization Advisory

As per high-altitude travel guidelines, travelers must acclimatize in Leh for 48 hours before riding.
We strongly recommend arriving at least one day prior to the trip start date.
One acclimatization day is included in the package. Additional nights can be arranged on request.
Avoid heavy physical exertion during the first 48 hours in Leh.
Stay well hydrated (2–3 litres of water daily) and avoid alcohol, smoking, and sedatives.
Consult your physician before the trip. Preventive medication such as Diamox may be taken only after medical advice.
In case of symptoms related to AMS, HAPE, or HACE, seek immediate medical attention.

Arrival & Check-In Guidelines

Recommended flight arrival time on trip start date: 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM
Early check-in is subject to availability.
Inner Line Permits are arranged assuming prior arrival for acclimatization.

Operational & Safety Policies

The itinerary may change due to weather, road conditions, or participant safety considerations.
The tour leader reserves the right to modify the schedule in the interest of safety and overall wellbeing.
Protective riding gear must be worn at all times during the ride.
Riding jackets are available in L and XL sizes only, subject to availability.
Any damage caused to the bike by the rider will be chargeable.
Only medically and physically fit individuals should join the expedition.
